Dear Members of the National Commissions,
The year 2018 is an important year. It is the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the state of Israel and 100 years to the end of World War One.
As a part of the national celebration, The Israeli Commission of Military History has the honor of hosting the 44th International Congress of Military History, which is to be held in Israel, September 2-9, 2018.
The main theme of the Congress is “The creation of new states and the collapse of old empires”.
The Israeli Ministry of Defense and the IDF are proud to take part in this prestigious event and are fully committed to providing full support for the congress.
While searching relentlessly for peace, I am fully aware that the study of the past provides a better understanding of the present and enables a preparation for the future.
We are looking forward to hosting you at the 44th International Congress. See you in Israel!
