Brenmiller Energy
Mr. Brenmiller has founded a new firm during 2012 – BRENMILLER Energy, a technological company leading the development of Thermo-solar systems aiming to make the cost of electricity, generated by the combination of sun and fossil fuels, competitive.
Until lately Mr. Brenmiller acted as the CEO of Siemens STE (Solar Thermal Energy) Business Unit.
Mr. Brenmiller studied at the Technikum, Israel and earned a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University. He directed key projects in engineering and operational departments at Luz Industries from 1988-1991. From 1991-1994, Mr. Brenmiller managed the mechanical plant for Elisra Electronic Systems Ltd. Mr. Brenmiller joined Solel Solar Systems in 1994 as Chief operational officer, becoming Chief Executive Officer in 1997. He led Solel through extensive development and implementations of solar thermal technologies for solar power plants as well as for industrial and residential applications, including the construction of the 50 MW solar thermal power Plant in Lebrija, Spain. After Solel’s acquisition by Siemens in 2009, Mr. Brenmiller was appointed CEO of Siemen’s Solar Thermal Energy business unit.
Currently Mr. Brenmiller is leading the development of new smart hybrid technologies that combines conventional and solar thermal energies.
