Dear Colleagues,

Following the interest and enthusiasm generated by the First International Congress on “Pediatrics in the Community -2000+ ”held in Jerusalem in July 1997, and encouraged by the success of the Congress stimulated by requests from colleagues from all over the world and from Israel, the Board of the Israel Ambulatory Pediatric Association has decided to organize the Second International Congress on Pediatrics in the Community ( SIPCC) , in Jerusalem, April 9- 13, 2000.

The Congress Theme, Pediatrics in the Community, will examine the increasing importance of community- based services in the third millennium.

Experts in different fields of Pediatrics and allied professions will be invited to present lectures and symposia on the state of the art in these areas. There will also be sessions and lectures directed at the future of these fields in the next century.

A full range of social and cultural activities is being planned. There will of course be opportunities for touring the City of Jerusalem and the rest of Israel, as well as neighboring countries.

The Congress will be sponsored by the leading international organizations in Pediatrics.
