Instructions for oral presentation

The presentation will last no more than 20 minutes in total, including a 15 minutes talk and 5 minutes for discussion. If the talk lasts more than 15 minutes the discussion will be shortened accordingly. The same principle applies if the presenter for some self-induced reason does not start the presentation as scheduled.

The following technical equipment will be available to the presenter:
1 slide projector. It is the responsibility of the presenter to ensure that the slides are placed in the appropriate slide holder in the correct order.

Sharp Notevision projector. A portable IBM compatible PC is expected to be provided by the presenter, and in case of unexpected technical problems with the PC and/or the LCD projector, it is the responsibility of the presenter to ensure that appropriate slides are available as back up, preferably in the form of overhead transparencies.
Oral presenters will be offered the opportunity to give a demonstration. The demonstration will take place in the areas reserved for poster presentation with demonstration and the facilities offered will be as described below in the Instructions for demonstration.


Instructions for poster presentation.

The Dimensions of the poster boards are 90 cm wide X 220 cm high. Posters should be legible from a distance of 1-2 meters. The recommended size of a poster should be 90 cm wide X 150 cm high. The title of the poster (identical to the abstract) should be written in letters 3-4 cm high. Name(s) of author(s), institution and address should be 2-3 cm high. We recommend that authors bring with them copies of a printed summary of their paper for distribution among interested participants.  

Mounting Material: Posters will be mounted to the boards with double sided adhesive tape provided by the Secretariat. 


Instructions for demonstrations.

Participants presenting a demonstration will have the option to use a poster board as described above in the "Instructions for poster presentation". In addition, a 220 V 50 Hz power outlet, a table and two chairs will be made available. The demonstration will run on a PC provided by the presenter. A limited number of PCs will be available for demonstrations and oral presentations. Presenters who are not able to bring their own PC should apply to Ofra Kalter-Leibovici: ofrak@post.tau.ac.il.
