The Sharon is a Beach Resort Hotel, with fully equipped rooms including comfortable bath, air-conditioning, cable TV, direct dial telephone and mini bar. The Hotel has two restaurants, a health club, and an outdoor swimming pool with direct access to the beach.  

LANGUAGE
The official language of the Symposium will be English.

ABSTRACTS
Accepted abstracts will be published as proceedings from the Symposium in the Journal “Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolism”. Selected contributions will be published as a special issue in the Journal “Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine”.

EXHIBITION

CLIMATE AND CLOTHING

September is autumn in Israel, with no rain to be expected. Temperatures in Herzliya are expected to be between 21^o-29^oC. Dress will be informal throughout the Symposium.

VISA
Individuals from countries without diplomatic relations with Israel should write to the Secretariat, no later than three months prior to the Symposium, giving their full name, date and place of birth, passport number and date of issue, flight number and time of arrival.

CURRENCY
The unit of currency is the New Israel Shekel (NIS), commonly known as the Shekel.  The shekel consists of 100 Agorot. US$ 1 = approximately NIS 4.10 (as of February 2000).
