Call for Papers

The 12th International Workshop on Acoustic Echo and Noise Control will be held in Sheraton Tel Aviv Hotel and Towers, Tel - Aviv Israel, Monday, August 30th – Thursday, September 2nd, 2010. The workshop will focus on topics of signal processing for speech signals. Applications include telephony, conferencing systems and voice control systems. The three day program consists of poster presentations of recent novel works and latest results, keynote talks and demonstrations.

Technical Scope
The technical scope of the workshop includes algorithms for signal processing of speech signals, including enhancement, separation, acoustic echo control and noise reduction as well as microphone arrays. These areas have attracted wide academic interest for many years and have, more recently, seen a substantial growth in industrial applications such as hands-free mobile telephony and video-conferencing systems.

The Eberhard Hänsler Best Student Paper Award
The IWAENC Technical Committee will award the Eberhard Hänsler Best Student Paper Award for the best student paper. The selection will be based on originality, scientific merit, and quality of writing and presentation. The paper must be presented by the candidate student to be qualified for the award.

Demonstrations
Authors are strongly encouraged to give relevant demonstrations of their work.

Procedures
We are soliciting original, previously unpublished manuscripts in the topics relevant to the workshop. The technical committee will select the appropriate papers. A copy of the papers will be published on-line (both in the workshop website and in www.iwaenc.org) and on a CD-ROM.

Submission: prepare a 4 page final draft of your paper. The submission will be made on-line via the workshop website. If a demonstration of the work is planned, please include a brief description of the demonstration in the paper summary. Please use our LaTeX and MS-Word style files for paper preparation.

Important dates
Submission of 4-page paper (final draft): May 17st, 2010
Notification of acceptance: June 15th, 2010
Submission of camera-ready paper: July 1st, 2010
