Dead Sea Works is a manufacturer and worldwide distributor of chemical products including various grades of Potash, KCl, Magnesium Chloride, Sodium Chloride. The visit will start with a short film and explanations on the map. Continue to the evaporation ponds area including explanation on the raw material process, which is unique process for Potash production. Then visit the border of peace between Israel and Jordan. On the way back stop for a panoramic view of the area. Complete the tour in the lowest dinning room in the world - 400 meters below see level.

Continue for a visit at Massada – the ancient Herodian fortress and learn the tragedy of the Zealots, its last defenders.

The conference will be held in conjunction with the 15th Israeli national conference on Industrial Engineering and Management (IE&M '08), sponsored by the Tel Aviv University, Ben Gurion University and the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. The IE&M conferences are very popular with both academics and practitioners and generally attract over 1,000 participants from Israeli academia and industry. Participants in ICIL '08 will have a unique opportunity to interact and network not only with each other, but also with leading Israeli researchers, practitioners and senior managers.
