OPTION 1: INTERFAITH ISRAEL
2 days / 1 night tour
Pre-tour on December 4-5
'Allergists for Israel' has worked very hard to design a special Interfaith Galilee experience for all faiths since the initial planning for WISC. We encourage everyone to participate in this unique 2-day exploration of the early days of our faiths. Several board members of 'Allergists for Israel' will be helping to lead the Interfaith tours.
We are delighted to have Reverend Dr. Bill Dolen along with Dr. William Silvers assist with this amazing 2-day Interfaith Israel Tour. Reverend Dr. Bill Dolen will share a Holy Communion in the Capernaum area, a Scripture study of the Sermon on the Mount and much more. Dr. William Silvers will give commentary about the history of the north, Maimonides Tomb in Tiberias, Safed, the synagogues and the origins of Kabbalah (Jewish Mysticism). As a group we will share psalms, prayers, thoughts and insights as we travel through the Galilee in this most illustrious, diverse and enchanting countryside.
Day 1: CAPERNAUM – MOUNT OF BEATITUDES – TABGHA - TIBERIAS
07:30 Depart Jerusalem hotel
After breakfast, we will drive to Eastern Galilee area to visit Capernaum (Kfar Nachum) the town of Jesus, where he lived in the house of Peter performing from there his miracles and healings (Matthew 4: 13, Matthew 8: 14-15). Drive to the Mount of Beatitudes (Matthew 5: 7) where we shall visit the heptagonal church that was built by the Italian architect Berluzzi.
Proceed to Tabgha, where we shall visit the Church of the Loaves and the Fish (Matthew 14: 14-34) and the Church of Mensa Christi, where Jesus elected Peter as His Representative on Earth (John 21). Continue to Tiberias and visit the Tomb of Maimonides (Rambam), one of the most important Jewish pilgrimage sites in Israel.
Overnight and dinner in Kibbutz Sha'ar Hagolan.
Day 2: YARDENIT – TZFAT - NAZARETH

Pre-tour on Saturday December 3rd
From 09:00 to 17:00
We are delighted to have Reverend Dr. Bill Dolen* assisting with the Holy Week in Jerusalem Tour. He has a wealth of knowledge and information relating to each place and event mentioned in the description of the Holy Week, as well as ancient readings and prayers for the walk of the Stations of the Cross. He will hold a Holy Communion for those interested, at one of the Churches.
* Reverend Dr. Bill Dolen will join the pre-tour only (December 3rd).
09:00 Depart from Jerusalem hotel
Today we walk where Jesus walked; beginning the day with a panoramic overview from the Mount of Olives, overlook Jerusalem-new city and the Temple Mount Esplanade of old city. Travel along the Kidron Valley to view the Garden of Gethsemane and the walls of the city.
How many have wished to be whisked back in time to witness history in its making. To walk between the ancient olive trees, read the scriptures of Jesus' prayer and take time for personal reflection is important here.
Passing by the Protestant Cemetery, we visit the "Upper Room" just outside the Zion Gate where the disciple whom Jesus loved laid his head on His breast and where later Thomas cried, "my Lord & my God" and visit Kings David's Tomb. While walking along the Via Dolorosa, we are reminded of His way of suffering along with a visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Our guide will explain the differing opinions on the route that Christ was led and the actual place of crucifixion and burial is a very interesting study. The climax of the day is the area of Golgotha (place of the skull) and the Garden Tomb, where we celebrate the resurrection with communion and a time of praise.
