EMC CREDENTIAL CERTIFICATION NARTE is recognized worldwide as the only comprehensive certification in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). NARTE offers certification of engineers as EMC practitioners and as technical personnel working in accredited EMC test laboratories. Russell Carstensen, NARTE Executive Director, will be presenting a half day work shop on how to pass the Electromagnetic Compatibility certification examinations on Monday, May 12 and a full eight hour certification examination on Friday, May 16th. This is your opportunity to get the inside track on how to attack the examination. The examination can be taken at any point the candidate feels ready. It is not necessary to wait until all of the experience has been accumulated.
The discussion will be followed by a two-hour practice examination. The practice exam is not recorded and will scored on site. Participants will take their copies with them after the workshop. The practice examination is an excellent opportunity to gauge readiness for the actual certification examination. Participation will give to give you the opportunity to see if you are up to the challenge.
The certification examination is “open book” and is intended to replicate professional practice. The examinee can bring any reference material they choose short of another person. Computers are allowed but NARTE can not guarantee that electrical power will be available. The 8-hour examination is given in two sessions, the first beginning at 8:30 AM and running four hours. After an hour break, the second session begins to run an additional four hours. Registration can be made at the NARTE website (www.narte.org), by calling (toll free) 1-800-89NARTE, or at the NARTE booth up to noon on Thursday, May 15th. For more information
