Tourist services cancellation policy

The Organizing Committee has appointed Ortra Ltd., a registered travel agent, as the official organizer and travel agent for the Symposium.

Rooms have been reserved at the Elysium Beach Resort (Deluxe) at reduced rates, if booked through Ortra, Ltd.

The Elysium Beach Resort is a five star deluxe hotel, which offers leisure and business visitors a relaxing and stimulating holiday in a peaceful and secluded environment. The Elysium is situated by the beach, in the historical heartland of the ancient city of Paphos. All rooms have balcony or terrace, air-conditioning, central heating, mini bar, safe and a hair dryer.

Rates for lower hotel grades are available upon request.

Ortra Ltd. will offer post-Symposium tours. Participants are invited to make any additional reservations for tourist services in Cyprus as desired, such as hotel extensions, regular tours, private car tours, car rentals, touring in limousines with drive/guide, etc.

A. TRAVEL
Cyprus Airways has been appointed as the official airline for the Symposium. Delegates and accompanying persons will be offered special discount fares if the flight reservations are made directly through any Cyprus Airways office. Please visit Cyprus Airways web site www.cyprusairways.com to obtain contact addresses and telephone numbers of the respective Cyprus Airways Offices

Important Notes:

• The above fares are subject to any changes and commercial increases at the time of the issuance/payment of the tickets and apply only for travel on Cyprus Airways Flights.
• The above fares are net and do not include the airport/security taxes and any other applicable taxes/surcharges which must all be paid additionally on issuance of the tickets.
• The transportation of the delegates is subject to the seat availability on the Cyprus Airways direct/Scheduled flights at the time of firm reservations/confirmation and issuance/payment of tickets.
• Reservations/issuance and payment of tickets must be made directly to the Cyprus Airways Offices at the point of origin of travel.
• To take advantage of these fares, the delegates must contact the Cyprus Airways Offices presenting the Registration Receipt of their participation to the Conference.

B. AIRPORT TRANSFERS
Ortra will arrange, upon request, transfers on Saturday or Sunday, November 5-6, on share-basis from Larnaca Airport to your hotel in Paphos (60 miles/97 km) at cost of € 53 per person or from Paphos Airport to your hotel (9 miles/15 km) at cost of € 22 per person. Participants who book this service should notify the secretariat of their arrival details no later than one week prior to arrival and will be met at the airport by Ortra Ltd. representatives.

* Rates include: One night accommodation with buffet breakfast, service charge, VAT and porterage.
**Important Note: Participants requesting to share a double room should send their Registration and Tourist Services Forms together. Reservations for sharing double rooms will not be accepted unless the forms are received together.

Drive through the local traditional villages to the Akamas Peninsula. On the way, the Avakas gorge with its limestone walls rising 30m high will be visited. Continue along the rugged coastal road to the famous Lara Bay, the breeding spot for the “green turtles” and to Fontana Amorosa.

A chance to discover some of the unspoilt villages of the Troodos Mountains, all tucked away in a picturesque landscape of vineyards. Omodhos village will be our first stop, famous for its vineyards, lace and the Byzantine Monastery of Stavros. We will continue to the mountain resort of Platres, where lunch will be taken. After lunch, driving through Troodos square, 1750m above sea level, we will visit the medieval village of Kakopetria part of which has been declared a preserved area, which still retains its charm and beauty, marvel of the folk architecture of the old dwellings and the old restored water powered flourmill. Return to Platres for overnight stay at the Forest Park Hotel.

An opportunity to visit Nicosia, the island's capital. Driving through Limassol we arrive to the picturesque village of Lefkara, famous for its silverware and intricate handmade lace, known as "lefkaritika". Continue to Nicosia for lunch at Laiki Yitonia, a 19th century quarter, lovingly restored to its former glory with houses, shops and tavernas lining the cobbled streets. After lunch, a short drive past Archbishopric and the cathedral of St John, the liberty monument and the Venetian walls surrounding the old part of town, brings us to Cyprus archaeological museum. Here you will be shown round the priceless collection of Cypriot antiquities and art treasures. Overnight stay at the Classic Hotel in Nicosia

REQUEST FOR TOURIST SERVICES
Kindly make your requests on the attached “Tourist Services Form” and return it with payment to Ortra Ltd. Payment to Ortra Ltd. can be made by bank draft or bank transfer to account no. #142-472330 at Bank Hapoalim, Branch no. 780, Itzhak Sade’ Street, Tel-Aviv or by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Diners and American Express only). Payment by credit card will be charged in US$, based on the exchange rate between the Euro and the US$ on the date of payment.

TOURIST SERVICES TERMS OF PAYMENT
A two (2) nights deposit will be charged upon receipt of the hotel accommodation reservation, and the remainder will be charged by Ortra Ltd. two weeks prior to the opening date of the conference. Other tourist services will be charged in full upon receipt of the reservations. Deposits will be refunded according to the cancellation policy.
